Schloß Helmsdorf OHG

Schloss Helmsdorf OHG with its own harbor is located directly on Lake Constance. This spacious campsite, located on the large grounds of a disused beer brewery, is completely focused on water sports. With its beautiful location, luxurious and modern facilities and good restaurant with regional dishes, you can enjoy camping here. Many permanent annual pitches fill the camping area, but there is a separate section for touring campers. Discover the area by bike, on foot or on the water, or let yourself be pampered at this neat campsite.

Schloss Helmsdorf is located directly behind Immenstaad am Bodensee, which can be reached via the B31 to Uberlingen/Friedrichshafen. This road leads you along the lake towards the campsite, which is well signposted in Immenstaad am Bodensee. The white reception building is located in an open space at the rear of the site. Here the owner, Mr Flemisch, welcomes you. He will also show you the way to your pitch.

Separate touring pitches

This large campsite mainly has permanent annual pitches (230), but touring campers are also welcome here. If you come in high season, book a spot in advance, because it's busy in summer. There are eighty touring pitches, laid out in a separate part of the site. This campground is behind the restaurant, not directly on the lake. The pitches are numbered and nicely laid out on grassy fields. Some are paved with gravel. The camping site is slightly sloping, but you can park your caravan there without any problems. The tent field is located separately, on the edge of the campsite, close to the main road.

Water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers

At the campsite you will find a very mixed camping audience. Because of its location you will encounter many water sports enthusiasts, but also nature lovers know where to find the campsite. There is less to do for children at the campsite, so you won't be overrun by small kids.

Boating on Lake Constance

Schloss Helmsdorf's gaze is always on Lake Constance. In the private harbor there is room enough to moor your own boat (you have to pay a little extra for this). From the campsite you can sail onto the large lake. Next to the harbor there is a nice spot where you can lie on the grass by the water.

Lakeside restaurant

After a day of sailing you can use a good meal. The restaurant's extensive menu includes fresh fish from Lake Constance and regional dishes prepared with local products. In the summer you can sit on the terrace, which has a beautiful view of the harbor and the lake.

Perfect sanitary facilities

With its beautiful sanitary facilities, Schloss Helmsdorf sets the bar high for other German campsites. The modern sanitary facilities in the centrally located toilet block look immaculate and are always kept clean. The nicely decorated shower rooms with more than enough washbasins are separated from the toilets.

Cycling paradise Lake Constance

The Lake Constance region is known as a paradise for cyclists and hikers. So leave the car behind and set out on foot or by bike to explore the area. There are beautiful paved paths along the banks. In twenty-five minutes you cycle to Friedrichshafen, known for its zeppelins. Or cycle over the Meersburg in an hour to the university city of Konstanz. For a longer bike ride, choose the beautiful, typically Bavarian 'Altstadt' of Lindau as your destination.
