Church
Sint-Pieters kerk Loker
This three-aisled hall church with western tower was originally built in the 15th century. The late Gothic church burned down in 1794 and was rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century. During WWI, the St. Peter's Church was largely destroyed. The church was rebuilt under the direction of the Brussels architect Albert Dumont, who opted for a faithful reconstruction of the pre-war situation. The north and south flanks are decorated with mason's markings, including the coat of arms of the Hornes family, lords of Loker. These mason's marks are rare. The picturesque church tower is very often the subject of a holiday snapshot from the Rodeberg.
