Afspanning De Swaen in s-Gravenvoeren (Voeren) was already in the 16th century a resting place for horse and traveler halfway through the stagecoach route from Liège-Aachen. The current building dates from 1727 and is located in one of the most beautiful spots in the Voer region, in the Kinkenberg district, right next to the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw chapel and a cast iron water pump. Now it is the perfect place to enjoy regional meals on the terrace, in the taproom or in the restaurant, such as the baked trip with apple slices, or the Voeren style trout, fresh from the nursery of Sint-Pietersvoeren. Or enjoy one of more than 30 specialty beers, including locally brewed Rick's, and our specialty tea and coffee, made from freshly roasted Blanche Dael coffee beans, from the Wolfstraat in Maastricht. Since 2008 we also have a banquet hall for groups of up to 80 people.
