Koe-vert is a tavern located in the beautiful nature reserve Kiewit, the green lung of Hasselt. Koe-vert offers self-service dishes and drinks in which organic, local and fair trade products are given attention. On our drink menu we offer an extensive range of organic and fair trade juices, our own pressed Root apple juice and the well-known soft drinks. Our beer list also offers something for everyone: from (organic) regional beers to the refreshing classics. The wines we serve come from Oxfam's fair trade range. And we keep renewing our map. If you want to satisfy a small hunger or thirst, you can go to the Oxfam machine at the entrance. Our vegetables, the delicious bread, the pastries, the (spelt) flour, the eggs, ... from the non-profit organization De Wroeter form the basis for the prepared dishes. Local products play an important role in our kitchen. With a limited menu, Koe-vert tries to offer every visitor something delicious. You can come to us every day for fresh daily soups, pastas (also whole wheat or gluten-free), croques, salads, savory and sweet pancakes, sandwiches, ... Dessert lovers also have plenty of choice: ice cream to go with melt (thanks to our colleagues at De Winning), a tasty piece of cake or something sweet to nibble on, such as our Wroeter biscuits. . Koe-vert, a department of the non-profit organization De Wroeter, is committed to sustainable employment. In short, Respect for people & nature, that's what we aim for!
