Walking through Brunssum and the woods

From the comfortable EuroParcs Brunssummerheide you can immediately walk onto the Brunssummerheide. You walk through coniferous forests and over an extensive heathland, and you will also see some spots with drifting sand. It is wonderfully quiet here in this rolling nature reserve, you automatically switch back here for a day of relaxing. After a while you walk into the Schutterspark. This varied city park was designed between 1920 and 1940. You can enjoy a cozy terrace here at Brasserie Schuttershüske. From the Schutterspark you walk through a former mining district to the Vijverpark. At the end of 1918, lignite extraction started at this location. The watery Pond Park has been constructed around this former quarry. Then you walk to the beautiful Heidserpark. In the brasserie at EuroParcs Brunssummerheide you can gain strength with a delicious meal.
