Walking through Brunssum and the woods

From the comfortable EuroParcs Brunssummerheide you can walk straight onto the Brunssummerheide. You walk through coniferous forests and across an extensive heathland, you also see some spots with shifting sand. It is wonderfully quiet here in this rolling nature reserve, you automatically switch back here for a day of relaxation. After a while you walk into the Schutterspark. This varied city park was laid out between 1920 and 1940. You can grab a cozy terrace here at Brasserie Schuttershüske. From the Schutterspark you walk through a former miners' neighborhood to the Vijverpark. At the end of 1918, the extraction of lignite started at this location. The water-rich Vijverpark has been created around this former quarry. Then you walk to the beautiful Heidserpark. You can recharge your batteries with a delicious meal in the brasserie at EuroParcs Brunssummerheide.
