Walking through the Susteren area

You can take a walk through the countryside around Susteren. You walk through forests and past meadows. Put on your sturdy shoes for a refreshing route.

Middelgraaf
At Europarcs Resort Limburg you can enjoy a carefree holiday. Of course that includes a walk. After you've relaxed your legs, the route takes you along an unpaved path along the Middelsgraaf. This meandering stream was already dug in the thirteenth century as a drainage ditch. Then you walk on a leafy path to the south. You have beautiful views over the meadows.

Iron Forest
After a while you walk through the Iron Forest. This nature reserve consists of deciduous forest, grasslands and fields. In the spring the ground is covered with wood anemone, a beautiful view! The IJzerenbos is located in the border region with Germany: it is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a day of relaxation.
