Demer Valley
You start the route at Junction 100 at sports and reaction domain Demerstrand. First you walk your legs over the path along the river De Demer. You will experience a refreshing silence here, ideal for a day of relaxation. You pass the former Plompaertmeulen: the building originally dates from 1775.
Dauteweyers
The route also takes you through De Dauteweyers, a landscape consisting of a mosaic of alder marsh forest, moist meadows and ponds. This nature reserve was created by the construction of fish ponds and the extraction of iron ore in the nineteenth century. On the cozy terrace of cycling café Knooppunt 100 you can enjoy your walk with something tasty.
