Tour of windmills on Noord-Beveland

During this cycle route on Noord-Beveland you will pass numerous windmills. Get a breath of fresh air on this beautiful Zeeland island and enjoy the salty sea air and the beautiful surroundings.

From Kamperland to Colijnsplaat
From Kamperland you cycle along the Jacobahaven and Wissenkerke towards the water, after which you eventually end up in Colijnsplaat.

Mills on the way
During the route you will pass numerous windmills. For example along Landzigt in South Beijerland. The mill was built in 1857 and replaced a wooden seesaw corn mill that also stood on this site. In Colijnsplaat you cycle past the windmill Nooit Gedacht and De Oude Molen. You will not only encounter traditional windmills, but also windmills on the coast.

You leave Noord-Beveland for a short while to make a trip to Zuid-Beveland. You cycle to the other island via the 1st Deltaweg. In Wolphaartsdijk you will pass War Memorial Wolphaartsdijk. This memorial commemorates the inhabitants of Wolphaartsdijk who died during the Second World War, the war in the Dutch East Indies and Korea. This is followed by a number of mills or remnants thereof. Via Oud-Sabbinge, where you will find windmill De Haas, you take the ferry back to Kortgene in Noord-Beveland. Via Geersdijk and Plankendorp you cycle through the beautiful nature of Zeeland back to Kamperland.
