Description
First you drive to Fort De Roovere. This redoubt was built in 1628 on a high sand ridge. The fort was restored a few years ago. The new footbridge is praised at home and abroad, come and see for yourself! You cycle through a mix of forests and meadows and on car-free roads you cycle through the rural West-Brabant. You pass through the village of Moerstraten, after which you cycle through the Oudlands Laag. This humid nature reserve is intersected by the stream de Ligne, poplars and oaks grow there. From the polder along the Scheldt-Rhine Canal you have a beautiful view of the Brabantse Wal. On the edge of Halsteren you pass Sancto Antonio, a corn mill from 1817.
