Cycling route around Halsteren

First you drive to Fort De Roovere. This fortification was built in 1628 on a high sand ridge. The fort was restored a few years ago. The new walkway is praised at home and abroad, come and see it for yourself! You cycle through a mix of forests and meadows, a little later you can get off at Brasserie de Berk for a snack and drink. You cycle on car-free roads through rural West Brabant. You pass through the village of Moerstraten, after which you cycle through the Oudlands Laag. This humid nature reserve is intersected by the Ligne stream, where poplars and oaks grow. From the polder along the Scheldt-Rhine Canal you have a beautiful view of the Brabantse Wal. On the edge of Halsteren you will pass Sancto Antonio, a flour mill from 1817.
