Description
It is beautiful to cycle through nature between Delft and Schiedam. You drive through polders and forests. You will also visit Schipluiden and Maasland, two beautiful old towns.
Maasland
After a wonderful overnight stay at Bed & Breakfast Rechthuis van Zouteveen, you will get on the saddle full of energy. You will soon pass Vlietzicht: time for a coffee with a view of the Vlietlanden, a beautiful wetland nature reserve. Not much later you will drive through the Broekpolder, a nature reserve consisting of forests, open spaces and water features. Maasland enjoys a protected village view. Due to the many well-preserved centuries-old houses, time seems to have stood still here.
Museum
Further on you pass through Schipluiden, and soon you will see the Abtswoudse Bos approaching on the horizon. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here. There are some beautiful old buildings on the Schiekade. You can also get off at Museum Oud Overschie. Via Negenhuizen you drive back to Bed & Breakfast Rechthuis van Zouteveen.
