Tour Veluwemeer, Harderwijk and Elburg

You can ride your legs off in the Gelderse Vallei. It is wonderfully quiet here to cycle on car-free roads past meadows, fields and old farms. You then pass through the Hanseatic city of Harderwijk and cross the dike that separates Wolderwijd from Lake Veluwe. On the other side you drive along the banks. You look out over the rippling water, and to the left of the path you pass the Kievitslanden bird sanctuary and forests. You cross the water again, after which you drive into Elburg. It seems like you are going back in time here. Step off for a moment and enjoy the unique historic atmosphere. Just outside Oldebroek you will pass the De Bovenstreek Farm Museum, which is located in a farm from 1753.
