Tour of the Betuwe and Kromme Rijn region

In the Betuwe it is wonderfully quiet cycling along vast grasslands and orchards. In addition to a beautiful landscape, you will also find beautiful villages full of history, such as Buren. Here you will see, among other things, the fifteenth-century Sint-Lambertus church where William of Orange married his first wife Anna van Buren. Over the Beusichemsedijk you cycle along the Lek and pass a boundary post: a former border marker between the county of Culemborg and Buren. After a visit to the historic heart of Culemborg you cross through Schalkwijk, after which you enter the Kromme Rijnstreek. You pass Bij Ons In 't Goy. Here you can get off for a break, before you cycle to the park around Kasteel Duurstede. Back in the Betuwe you will pass through the protected village view in Zoelen.
