In the Betuwe it is wonderfully peaceful to cycle along wide grasslands and orchards. In addition to a beautiful landscape, you will also find beautiful villages full of history, such as Buren. Here you will see, among other things, the fifteenth-century St. Lambertus Church where William of Orange married his first wife Anna van Buren. On the Beusichemsedijk you drive along the Lek and pass a limit marker: a former border marker between the county of Culemborg and Buren. After a visit to the historic heart of Culemborg, you cross through Schalkwijk, after which you enter the Kromme Rijn region. You pass Bij Ons In't Goy. You can stop here for a break before driving to the park around Duurstede Castle. Back in the Betuwe you pass through the protected village view in Zoelen.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
