Description

You cycle along the Kromme Rijn through the Niënhof Estate. On the edge of Zeist you pass the famous castle that was built in the seventeenth century on behalf of Willem Adriaan van Nassau. A little later you enter the woods on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Here you can enjoy many kilometers of paths that lead you through deciduous and coniferous trees. From junction 5 you start descending the hills and enter the Kromme Rijn region. You can fully enjoy the peace and quiet in this vast polder landscape. You pass through Werkhoven, which enjoys a protected village view. You cycle for a while along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, after which you pass Fort Vechten just past junction 98.
