Mesh
After a coffee with something delicious at Pannenkoekenhuis Jachthut op den Hamer you have enough energy for a nice walk on Landgoed de Hamert. First you walk towards the Maas. As you walk along the banks, you have a beautiful view of the rippling water and the meadows on the other side of the river. After a while you walk into the woods. How quiet it is here!
Prince's tomb
As you walk across the heath, you may come across the herd of Kempian heath sheep that graze here. You walk back through the woods to Jachthut op den Hamer for a pit stop, after which you walk a bit along the Gelderns-Nierskanaal. Due to the great decline of this stream, you walk here through an un-Dutch environment. Back on the heath you walk along the Scherpenheuvel, one of the largest prehistoric burial mounds in the Netherlands.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
