Achterhoek iron route 45km

This route is a project of the SBDC group of the Isala college

A beautiful tour through the Achterhoek, the 45 km iron route is a beautiful route through the landscape of the Achterhoek and past the most important places of the iron industry in the area. While cycling you will receive information about the important points of the iron industry, such as the first iron foundry in the Netherlands and the complex of the DRU factory. 

While cycling you will pass plenty of rest points to rest and eat something. for example, have a pastry at the Schaftlokaal, a cup of coffee at Groot Nibbelink and lunch at Van Hal. 

You can follow the route using the signs of the Iron Route, the 45 km route is indicated in red. the route has the DRU culture factory as its start and end point.
