Tour of Bocholt and Kaulille in Belgium

This cycling route runs through the Netherlands and Belgium: the most beautiful of two countries! During this route you will get to know the beautiful village of Bocholt in the Limburg Kempen.

Historic Bocholt
The cycle tour starts at the passers-by harbour, at junction 211 in Bocholt. Bocholt is a pearl in the Limburg Kempen. The town has a rich history that can still be seen in some beautiful monumental buildings. In the countryside there are many nature reserves that belong to Grenspark Kempen-Broek, such as Sint-Maartensheide, De Luysen and Smeetshof. They make Bocholt a paradise for cyclists, hikers and riders.

GrensPark Kempen-Broek 
After you leave Bocholt, you cycle towards the Dutch border. You cycle through the cross-border nature reserve Kempen-Broek, which is located on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. A beautiful piece of nature to cycle through. This way you pass the areas of St. Maartensheide & De Luysen, De Kempen, Smeetshof and Lozerheide. The rugged character of Lozerheide gives nature free rein. This incredibly rich deciduous forest offers many advantages for plants and animals. In addition to the impressive fauna and flora described in the introduction, Lozerheide is also an attraction for various breeding birds. Of the 130 species of breeding birds in Limburg, 80 occur here.

Tour of Kaulille
Via the Kempenstraat you cycle along the canal towards the small village of Lozen. Then you cycle around the village of Kaulille. There are many forests in this area, often planted on former heathlands. There are also many agricultural areas and meadows. You cycle back to the starting point via the edge of Bocholt.
