Walking through green The Hague

During this walking route of more than 17 kilometers you will discover the green surroundings of The Hague. You walk through De Uithof, the largest green area in the city.

South Park
The route starts at Lunchroom Parkour in the Zuiderpark in The Hague. You can go here for a delicious breakfast, an extensive brunch or a tasty lunch. ParCours is known for serving healthy dishes. ParCours is also the place for a cup of coffee or tea with home-made cakes, a juice and a pleasant drink. In the meantime, enjoy the beautiful view and the green surroundings. The Zuiderpark is a favorite with many residents of The Hague. They come here to walk, skate, cycle or to lie in the grass.

Nature reserve the Uithof
The route runs along nature reserve De Uithof, a recreational nature reserve with a varied environment. There are no less than 355 species of plants, fish and birds. De Uithof is one of the largest green areas in The Hague. Ideally suited for walking. A striking feature of De Uithof is the long dike that crosses the area. A bicycle and pedestrian path runs along and on the dike.

Through the dunes
You walk the last part of the walk through the Puinduinen to Kijkduin. The Haagse Puinduinen is a recreational area that originated from a literal heap of rubble as a result of all kinds of demolition work in the fifties and sixties. Now it is a beautiful walking area with a view of the sea. From there you walk via Nieuw Waldeck past the Community Garden back towards the Zuiderpark. This route combines nature and city. The route ends at Lunchroom Parkour.
