The beautiful old cities of Hoorn and Enkhuizen invite you to stop and take a look around. The route starts at Van der Valk Hotel Restaurant Hoorn, where you can first enjoy coffee and apple pie. Or stay the night, there is so much fun to discover in the area! From Hoorn you cycle via Schellinkhout, where you see typical bell-shaped farms, along the Markermeer. It was once part of the wild Zuiderzee, now the water has been tamed and is dammed by a dike from Enkhuizen to Lelystad. You cycle back to Hoorn via historic Enkhuizen.
