Description

It is wonderful to go for a walk on Landgoed Schovenhorst. This route takes you through the arboretum, past Museum de Tien Malen and through two beautiful estate forests.

Museum
After a coffee with something delicious at Brasserie Schovenhorst, you can walk your legs before you pass through the arboretum. This tree garden was planted in 1936. You walk on soft grass paths between a beautiful mix of coniferous and deciduous trees from the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere between North Africa and Central Finland. At Museum de Tien Malen you can see how people have managed the landscape around Putten over the centuries.

Three Continents Forest
The Josina Park was built in 1929. This park has recently been completely refurbished and restored to its former glory. You can admire a unique collection of dwarf conifers here. Further on you walk through the Kolkbos with its mix of thick deciduous trees and coniferous species such as Douglas fir and larch. It is wonderfully quiet walking here, while enjoying the natural beauty. Finally, you walk through the Three Continents Forest with its conifers from Asia, North America and Europe.
