From Rockanje to Brielle and Oostvoorne

During this cycle route of more than 38 kilometers you will discover the island of Voorne-Putten. The island is known for its picturesque villages, dunes and forests. Get on your bike, let the wind blow through your hair and enjoy!

On the beach
Badhotel Rockanje & Brasserie Lodgers is the starting point of this cycle route. From here you can walk or cycle to the beach, so a beautiful location for a hotel. The beach is located in a'bay\\\' against an undeveloped coast. The cycle route leads you past Rockanje and then you cycle to Brielle.

Fortified town of Brielle
Visit the fortified town of Brielle and discover where all those sayings and songs come from.'On April 1, Alva lost his glasses\\\'. On April 1, 1572, the Beggars appeared before Den Briel and demanded the city's surrender. Duke Alva sent an army to recapture the city, but then the floodgates were opened to drive out the Spaniards. And then Alva lost Den Briel, or: his glasses. Little has changed in Brielle since then and you can still find the atmosphere of that time everywhere. Nice restaurants and shops are hidden behind the many historic facades.

Museum in the Half Moon
About halfway you cycle past Museum in den Halven Maen. In this museum you will find all kinds of nostalgic utensils and, for example, an old grocery shop has been recreated. Imagine yourself here in earlier times and don't forget to stock up on some tasty sweets in the nostalgic sweet shop. You then cycle through Oostvoorne towards the west of the island, where you can cycle through the dunes and forests. Here you can really relax.
