The cycle route begins and ends at the Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch, dinner, stay overnight, or rent a bike directly. You'll soon pass a listening point on the Liberation Route, the route taken by the liberators at the end of World War II. It's worth stopping to hear about L55: Battle of Ginkelse Heide. Near the Airborne Monument, you'll also find the Ginkelse Heide sheepfold, which is worth a look. The Scots pines you'll see are over a hundred years old.
