Hiking route: 975742
Provided by: Groots Genieten
This route takes you along the Elsenburgerbos, a city park on the edge of Rijswijk. You also walk a bit on the towpath along the Delftse Vliet.
Consort
A little further on you pass another monumental building: the pumping station of the Plaspoel- en Schaapweipolder from 1874. As you walk along the towpath along the Delftse Vliet, you have a beautiful view of the water and the green surroundings. A little further on you walk through the Elsenburgerbos, a city park in which steep paths, lawns and rolling hills have been laid out.
Water tower
Just before you turn right to the water tower from 1911, you will see a white building with blue shutters on the other side of the river. This is the famous Delftse Pauw, a seventeenth-century pottery factory. The last part of the route you walk through the Elsenburgerbos again.
