Walking along the Petten coast and through the polders

The route starts with a coffee and cake at Brasserie Zo Gewoon in Petten. Then you walk a bit over the Hondsbossche Zeewering. Here you can enjoy a breath of fresh air and look out over the North Sea. In the summer you make a stop at The Sandbar, the cozy mini beach pavilion. From junction 20 you walk over a dike through the vast grasslands. On the right you look out over the Hargerpolder with its irregular parceling pattern. On the left is the Polder Q: this is part of the Zijpepolder which is characterized by straight ditches and plots. You walk along the Abtskolk, a lake that was created by clay extraction for the construction of the Hondsbossche Zeewering. Via Mennonietenbuurt you walk to Restaurant de Watersnip for a delicious meal. The route ends in Petten.
