Walking along the Pettense coast and through the polders

The route starts with a coffee and cake at Brasserie Zo Simply in Petten. Then you walk a bit over the Hondsbossche Zeewering. Here you can enjoy a breath of fresh air and look out over the North Sea. In the summer you make a stopover at The Sandbar, the cozy mini beach pavilion. From junction 20 you walk over a dike through the wide grasslands. On the right you look out over the Hargerpolder with its irregular allotment pattern. On the left is the Polder Q: this is part of the Zijpepolder, which is characterized by straight ditches and lots. You walk along the Abtskolk, a lake that was created by clay extraction for the construction of the Hondsbossche Zeewering. Via Mennonietenbuurt you walk to Restaurant de Watersnip for a nice meal. The route ends in Petten.
