Through the dunes from Scheveningen to Noordwijk

You can take a nice bike ride along the Dutch coast. You drive through wooded dunes, occasionally you can take a dip on the beach. You will encounter many sights along the way.

Katwijk aan Zee
The route starts at Visrestaurant De Dagvisser, the fish restaurant in the wider area. Further on you can visit Muzee Scheveningen, a museum where the daily life of old Scheveningen is portrayed. You then cycle through an elongated strip of dunes. In Katwijk aan Zee you can see the white Andreaskerk from 1461, the only church in the Netherlands that is right on the boulevard. De Vuurbaak dates from 1605: it is the second oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands.

Magic Lantern Museum
In the Coepelduynen you can enjoy the silence and the special natural beauty. You pass through Noordwijk aan Zee, another beautiful seaside resort. You then cycle to the historic heart of Noordwijk. One of the oldest buildings here is the fifteenth-century Oude Jeroenskerk, a picture! You drive through Rijnsburg, after which you cycle along the wooded edge of the dunes to Wassenaar. Finally, you drive through the Scheveningse Bosjes to the Magic Lantern Museum: a nice stop.
