Through the dunes from Scheveningen to Noordwijk

Enjoy a beautiful bike ride along the Dutch coast. You'll cycle through wooded dunes, and occasionally you can take a dip at the beach. Along the way, you'll encounter many interesting sights.

The route starts at Visrestaurant De Dagvisser, the fish restaurant in the surrounding area. Further on, you can visit Muzee Scheveningen, a museum that depicts daily life in old Scheveningen. Then you cycle through a long stretch of dunes. In Katwijk aan Zee, you'll see the white Andreaskerk (St. Andrew's Church) from 1461, the only church in the Netherlands located directly on the boulevard. The Vuurbaak (Lighthouse) dates from 1605: it's the second-oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands.

Magic Lantern Museum: In the Coepelduynen, you can enjoy the tranquility and exceptional natural beauty. You'll pass through Noordwijk aan Zee, another charming seaside resort. Then, cycle to the historic heart of Noordwijk. One of the oldest buildings here is the fifteenth-century Oude Jeroenskerk (Old Jeroen's Church) – a real gem! You'll cycle through Rijnsburg, then along the wooded dune ridge to Wassenaar. Finally, you'll cycle through the Scheveningen Woods to the Magic Lantern Museum: a lovely stop-off.
