Description
The area around Grashoek in Limburg is a wonderful place for walking. This figure-eight loop takes you through the woods on the Marisberg and through the peaceful countryside.
Marisberg
First, you'll walk to the De Marisberg nature reserve. This forest is located at the highest point in the Peel region. You'll walk mainly among Scots pines. It's wonderfully peaceful here, perfect for a day of relaxation. At the Grashoek village square, you'll pass the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, built in 1954. The Pioneer Monument is also located here.
Kite flying
You'll walk through the fields surrounding Vliegert. Here you'll find a succession of meadows, fields, and small patches of woodland. A wonderful area to explore at your leisure on foot.
