Deurne Canal
After a refreshing night's stay at Recreatiepark De Leistert, you will have plenty of energy for a nice bike ride. That's a good thing, because De Leistert is located in a beautiful cycling region. First you drive through the woods around the village of Heibloem. The landscape here is a series of coniferous and deciduous trees, agricultural fields and drifting sand remnants. You drive along the leafy Deurne Canal, what a silence!
Quackvors
Just before Grashoek you pass through the Kwakvors, a nature reserve of wet grasslands and bird-rich ponds. You also drive through the fragrant coniferous forest of De Marisberg, the highest point in Peel. Finally, you cycle a bit through the Heldense Bossen and the adjacent Gruisse Epper.
