Leudal: cycling gem on the Maas

After a night's stay at Recreatiepark De Leistert, you will be completely refreshed for a day of cycling through Central Limburg. First you drive to Waterbloem, a beautiful name for a nature reserve that consists of forest and swamps that are intersected by the Roggelse Beek. In Neer you can admire the neo-Gothic St. Martin's Church from 1910 on the Kerkplein. It is nice to cycle along the floodplains of the Maas to Buggenum. In Horn you can stop for a nice lunch at Eetcafé Aan de Kirk. A little further on you can take a look at Horn Castle, before you drive through the forest to Baexem. A little later you drive into the Het Leudal nature reserve, one of the most beautiful in Limburg. In Roggel you pass the striking St. Peter's Church, which partly dates from the fifteenth century.
