To Elburg from Flevoland

With this route you experience the best of both worlds: new country and an ancient town. First of all, you cycle directly to Elburg. You come straight through the historic heart. Time seems to have stood still here. Definitely stop off to experience the special atmosphere. Then you drive further, along the shore of the Drontermeer and through the polders near Kampen. Time to get some fresh air and relax. You cross the water to Flevoland via the Roggebotsluis: a true feat in the long history of the battle that the Netherlands waged against the water. Where the waves of the Zuiderzee once rose high, you now drive through a vast polder landscape. The route ends at Resort Zuiderzee Exploitatie BV, a holiday park on Lake Veluwe.
