You can spend a wonderful day cycling between Zutphen and Doetinchem. You drive through a varied landscape and through old towns with sights.
Hekenbroek
From the Emerpark you drive through the rural area between Zutphen and Doetinchem. Enjoy pedaling along meadows and fields, while you can chat at your leisure with your fellow cyclists. You pass through the villages of Baak and Toldijk, further on you cycle through the damp forests of Hekenbroek. Many butterflies live in this nature reserve, you may see the Emperor's Mantle fluttering by. In Laag-Keppel you will still find many old buildings.
Wehl
In the old city center there are hardly any buildings left before the Second World War. Nearly all historic buildings were lost due to three Allied bombings. In Hummelo you can view some monumental buildings before you drive back to the starting point via Wichmond.
