Along the Veerse Meer you will find everything to make your cyclist's heart beat faster. Natural beauty, tranquility, vast polders and beautiful old towns, such as Veere.
Veere
You can relax on a quiet road through the Schotsman nature reserve. Then you cross the Veerse Gatdam from 1961, from the cycle path you have a beautiful view over the beach. When the weather is nice you can take a dip, which is always fun.
On Walcheren you will pass through Veere, a small but oh so charming town. You also cycle past the De Piet nature reserve.
Kortgene
On Noord-Beveland you drive through Kortgene, among other things. Here is the beautiful Nicholas Church from 1686. The fifteenth-century tower is the only medieval building that survived the All Saints Flood of 1532 (which flooded the whole of Noord-Beveland). You can get a breath of fresh air on the cycle path while enjoying beautiful views of the Veerse Meer. You pass the forest on the edge of the Goudplaat, a former island. You drive back to the starting point via Kamperland and the harbor.
