A detour through the Loonse and Drunense Dunes

First you walk to Giersbergen. In this hamlet you see many monumental thatched long-façade farms, so that it seems as if you are taking a leap back in time. Then you walk into the Varkensbos. This sub-area with its old oaks is named after the wild boars that once hid here. You also pass through part of the drifting sand area for which this national park is known. It even owes its nickname of Brabant Sahara to it. It is sometimes a bit of a tough walk, but you get something in return: unique views! The path then takes you through a plot with many conifers. You can enjoy the silence here. Afterwards you can enjoy a drink and a meal at Hotel Restaurant D\\\'n Dries.
