Description
A beautiful church, ditches and canals, nature reserve de Bouwepet and a geological monument of boulders from Scandinavia: there is a lot to enjoy with this route through beautiful Friesland! Along the canals and through the polder you walk to Tietjerk or Tytsjerk with its beautiful St. Vitus Church. Further on you walk into nature reserve de Bouwepet. It is part of the large marsh area Bûtenfjild. On the south side there is a sand ridge, near Hurdegaryp. This marsh area connects the Grutte Wielen and the Lauwersmeer area with each other.
