Description
A beautiful church, ditches and canals, the Bouwepet nature reserve and a geological monument of boulders from Scandinavia: there is a lot to enjoy with this route through beautiful Friesland! You walk along the canals and through the polder to Tietjerk or Tytsjerk with its beautiful St. Vitus Church. Further on you walk into the Bouwepet nature reserve. It is part of the large Bûtenfjild marsh area. On the south side there is a sand ridge, near Hurdegaryp. This swamp area connects the Grutte Wielen and the Lauwersmeer area.
