A relaxing day in the Westland

Cycling in the Westland is varied. You will find beautiful nature reserves, such as the starting point of this route: Het Kraaiennest. From here you drive through the polders with their grassy fields and waterways. You pass through't Woud, a hamlet of ancient houses and farms. On the outskirts of The Hague you drive through the woods and dunes of Landgoed Ockenburgh, a country estate that originally dates from the seventeenth century. Madestein is a nature and recreation area that was created in 1969 in 2 polders. Here you will see puddles, reed beds, woods and lawns. In the historic heart of Naaldwijk you can see the fifteenth-century Oude Kerk. Finally, you pass through the Wollebrand, a nature reserve that serves as a water storage.
