Delft is one of the most historic cities in the Netherlands. A must to explore by bike. In the countryside you will find plenty of natural beauty in the polders of the Westland. The starting point of the cycle route is Royal Delft, the last remaining pottery factory from the 17th century. Take a look at the production process, walk through the museum or have a bite to eat at Brasserie1653. You cycle over canals past beautiful monumental buildings. What a rich history! Then you drive into the polders of the Westland. In this vast and water-rich landscape you will pass, among other things, the Kromme Zweth. Here you will find a unique piece of nature: the Seven Holes. You will also pass the Kraaiennest, a small-scale nature reserve. In the Vlietlanden nature reserve you will see a piece of unspoilt, traditional Dutch nature. Enjoy it!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
