Description

It is beautiful to walk in the city center of Delft. Just outside the city you walk through the Bieslandse Bos: also recommended! The starting point of this route is Royal Delft, where you will discover the complete history and production process of Delft pottery, for which the city is so famous. Delft has one of the most beautiful city centers in the Netherlands. You walk along canals and monumental buildings. For example, you will pass the Oude Kerk from 1246 with its crooked tower. The Bieslandse Bos was created around 1985 for timber production, but now has a recreational function. Here you will find a variety of forest, swamp, untouched fields and swamp forests. The Bieslandse Polder was drained around 1780. From junction 85 to the Noordeindseweg you now walk through a beautiful creek area.
