Description
The Oostvaardersplassen is a unique nature reserve. Nice to explore better from the saddle. Then you cycle over the Oostvaardersdijk. Get a breath of fresh air, while looking right over the rippling Markermeer. On the left are the Oostvaardersplassen: one of the most pristine nature areas in the Netherlands. Thousands of years ago, our whole country looked like this. Now this area with its reeds, water, rough grass plains and wild animals is unique for all of Europe. You can get off at Nature Experience Center De Oostvaarders. With the binoculars available here you can spot animals in the area without disturbing them. Further on you drive between the poplars, willows and reed fields of the Kotterbos.
