Description

This route takes you through the 'new' land of the Beemster. When you cycle through the historic village centre of Middenbeemster, feel free to get off and take a look at the Betje Wolff museum, Visitors' Centre or enjoy one of the catering establishments. Continue along the road and cycle over the Beemster dike into the ribbon village of Kwadijk. Through Middelie and Oosthuizen to Beets and enjoy the variety of polder, nature reserve and historic centres along the way. Back in the Beemster, it is possible to buy regional products from a number of farmers. End the route at the starting point De Rijp. A beautiful historic village related to the former Whaling industry.
