Walking route from De Vogelensangh

Just outside the village of Vogelenzang you can enjoy a nice walk through the park forest of three estates. The second part of the route takes you through the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes. To enjoy!

Leyduin estate
Grab a cozy terrace at Restaurant de Vogelensangh to enjoy a coffee and something tasty before you set off. First you walk through three connected estates: Woestduin, Vinkenduin and Leyduin. These country estates were once used as a summer residence by prominent Amsterdam families. They still have great cultural-historical value. It is now wonderful to walk here through the varied park forest.

Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes
The second part of the route takes you through the Vinkenveld, a sub-area of the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes. Here you will find a varied landscape of open sandy spots, dune grassland, sea buckthorn thickets and a native forest. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a relaxing walk. You walk back through the polder to the starting point. Time for a refreshment at Toscana IJssalon and a meal at Restaurant de Vogelensangh.
