Cycling route through Hilvarenbeek and the surrounding forests

You'll soon cross the Gorp estate. The path leads you through deciduous and coniferous forests, occasionally offering beautiful vistas across fields. In the hamlet of Gorp, you'll see several historic farms and a beautiful hunting lodge dating from 1870. Then, you'll take a detour into the countryside surrounding Poppel in Belgium. The Utrecht estate was developed in 1898 as an investment by the life insurance company De Utrecht. You'll cycle for many kilometers through coniferous and deciduous forests. At De Flaes fen, you can stop and climb the striking observation tower for a magnificent view. Finally, you'll pass through Hilvarenbeek, a charming old village where you can visit the Doornboom windmill.
