03-Terpelan route

This Motor Route leads for a large part through the Frisian mound landscape. Terp villages, vast polders, open skies and large arable farms determine the landscape. The area south of Dokkum gives a completely different appearance. Here the landscape takes on a private character with small fields and meadows, bordered by wooded banks. This coulisse landscape is part of the Friese Wouden.
