On the road through the forests of the De Utrecht estate

This beautiful walking route takes you through the De Utrecht estate, featuring the stunning Flaestoren lookout tower and lush forests. From here, you can observe the fragile nature of the fens from a safe distance.

The forests south of Tilburg are so beautiful that it's worth spending the night. This route starts at Auberge De Hilver, a lovely spot with a heated outdoor pool, bar, and restaurant. Then you'll enter the De Utrecht estate, through forests, past vast heathland, and beautiful fens like Goorven and De Flaes. What a varied route!

At the De Flaes fen, there's a beautiful 25-meter-high observation tower. For €1, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the fenland. The nature here is both unique and fragile. After the Flaes tower, about halfway along the route, you'll find Herberg In den Bockenreyder in the woods. A charming spot for a break. Back at the hotel, snuggle up by the fireplace in the restaurant.
