Description

In winter you look out over the frozen fens on this ranger path, in spring everything comes to life and you hear the birds singing. What remains every season are the views and infinite silence. Walk through the Leenderbos and over the Groote heath in North Brabant and discover the panoramic view.

Highlights
  • The Achelse Kluis is a former Belgian monastery that once housed talkers.
  • At the lookout tower you look out over the grasslands and the flowing Tongelreep.
  • You will find a shelter at the edge of the heath.
  • The crane fens are a reminder of the time when cranes still lived in the area.
Dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a leash. The paths are all unpaved and therefore the route is not suitable for the disabled.
