Description

A long varied walk along everything that makes the Veluwe in Gelderland so fascinating. On this ranger path through the forests of Kootwijk you will discover the drifting sand, old oak forests and juniper berries. In spring you can hear the birds singing and spot wild boars.

  • The juniper is a characteristic plant species for the Veluwe.
  • At the Kootwijkerveen you have a view of the little grebes and flowering white eagles.
  • The gray shrike makes itself visible in winter.
  • About 800 meters from the route there is a lookout tower with a view of the open sand in the nature reserve.
