A day out in the fresh air in South Beveland

In South Beveland it is wonderfully quiet cycling. This route leads you along the banks of the Oosterschelde and through the vast polders with their long rows of trees and quickly drifting clouds.

Eastern Scheldt
You start this route at the Goese Meer. This lake was created at the end of the twentieth century and is surrounded by houses and a golf course. You drive along the harbor canal to the Oosterschelde. On the banks you can sit in the grass of the dike to enjoy the view. You can see Tholen on the horizon. Further on you drive through the cozy harbor of Wemeldinge.

Yerseke Moer
After crossing the Channel through Zuid-Beveland, you cycle through the Yerseke Moer. This old land forms one of the last pieces of authentic Zeeland polder landscape. You cross the canal again, around Kapelle you then drive past fruit orchards and wide fields. You cycle back to the starting point via the hamlet of Tervaten.
