The green lung between Delft and Nootdorp

The Bieslandse Bos is a special nature reserve in the middle of the Randstad. Put on your walking shoes for a beautiful trip. After a cup of coffee at Saam Onder de Molen you walk through the Bieslandse Bos. This nature reserve was created around 1985 for timber production, but now has a recreational function. Here you will find a variety of forest, swamp, roughness, swamp forests and open polder. In the adjacent city park Delftse Hout you can walk along the Grote Plas. The Bieslandse Polder was drained around 1780. From the Noordeindseweg to junction 85 you now walk through a beautiful creek area that is lower than the surrounding fields due to peat extraction. Galloway cattle and Icelandic horses keep the area open. Finally, you walk through Wandelbos Laakweg, a recent addition to the Bieslandse Bos.
