A beautiful trip through the Hoeksche Waard

Your cycling route starts at Camping't Volgerland, in Numansdorp. In the Hoeksche Waard you can enjoy the vast ancient polders and the many creeks and dikes. There are also picturesque towns along your route, such as Zuid-Beijerland. Here you can see the Landzigt, a rebuilt flour mill that originally dates from 1857. From the Oudendijk you have a beautiful view over the bird-rich Korendijkse Slikken. In Nieuw-Beijerland you have a beautiful view from the road over the marina and Het Spui, a tidal river that was created during a flood in the sixteenth century. You will also see some beautiful farms here and De Swaen, a former corn mill from 1703. Further on you will reach the Binnenbedijkte Maas through Mijnsheerenland, Maasdijk and Westmaas: picturesque villages with old churches and windmills.
