Houthalen - Hechtereren is a leader in terms of CO2 forests. The Luciebos (incidentally the oldest CO2 forest) and the Hortelbos together cover 30 hectares. This cycle route shows you both forests and the military training area of Heechteren. On the route you will find a pleasant picnic area.
