Description

From the roe deer at dusk to the gull colony in the spring and summer months, you will encounter all kinds of animal species during this walk on the Cartierheide in North Brabant. A quiet walking route through forest, along heathland, large waters and close to the many inhabitants of De Kempen.

Highlights
  • Discover the Cartierheide from the boardwalk. In August the heather turns purple.
  • During the breeding season, a colony of gulls lives on the large fen.
  • Walking along the edge of the forest you can encounter the smooth snake.
  • A large number of carp swim around in the Laarven.
Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead.
The route is not suitable for the disabled and consists largely of sandy paths.
